Who Is Melvin Ng

by Melvin Ng, 4:13 am

admin.jpgHi, I’m Melvin Ng, and I’m from Malaysia.

I won’t bore you with a lenghty bio, but basically I’m an Internet marketer from Malaysia, and have been marketing online for a couple of years, and have been making a full time living online as well for the past few years.

My specialty is in niche and blog marketing where I sell information products in niche markets, and I maintain a network of blogs in niche markets too, monetizing them through various methods, and sometimes even selling them off for huge profits.

I also have a knack for understanding and interpreting seemingly complicated materials and making them easy to understand for a lot of people.

So, what’s in it for you to subscribed to my newsletter or to read my blog?

As I travel along my Internet marketing journey, I’ll be testing and experiencing a lot of stuff, and I’ll be reading a lot as well.

What I’ll do is document my thoughts based on my experiences, and the stuff that I’ve learnt, so that you can benefit from it too.

I’ll call a spade a spade, and sometimes that might be offensive, or if you’re the target of my negative comment, you have the right to be pissed. Don’t take it personally though.

In fact, I’m not even a guru and will never pretend to be one. I’m just voicing out my opinion and sharing what I know.

Now, you may not agree with everything I say, and that’s ok. I don’t need your endorsement, neither do you need mine. We’ll agree to disagree.

However, I would also want to hear what you have to say. So do drop by and post your comments. I’d love to have your feedback.

Another thing is, on and off, I’ll be sending you promotional materials as well. If you’ll feel offended receiving emails from me asking you to buy something, then, too bad.

You can be assured of one thing, I’ll be recommending some good stuff. Of course I’m human too and sometimes do make a bad call. If that’s the case, then my apology to you. I’ll try to maintain YOUR best interest at heart.

That’s all and ciao for now. As for my blog name implies…Ask Melvin Ng, yes, do ask me if you have any questions. Just post a comment below and I’ll reply to you.

    Hi Melvin,

Thank you for the invitation to ask you anything!

Melvin, I know that you are not a psychologist and that you’d probably tell me to get one.

The problem that I have is that I’m a compulsive buyer and I buy just about anything that promise me the world and more. I just tend to keep on hopping from one opportunity to the next, then to the next, then to the next and so on.

The problem is that as of now, the present I’ve spent over $45,000-00 on opportunities(since 2000), but still have $0.00 to show for it. I’ve also now bought into the 20/20 challenge.

As you can see I’m pretty much in trouble with my compulsion and I just know I wont be able to stop until I’m finally ruined on all fronts or when my persistence finally pays off.

What I want to ask you, and you may ignore me entirely if you so choose, is for your advise please? At this present time I have so many affiliate links, programs, resell rights products, etc, etc that I cant even keep track and just put my head into a spin as soon as I switch my computer on. I got so many subscriptions to so many programs running that I’m bleeding money but I just dont see any ROI.

PLEASE could you advise me on THE ONE program I can join so I can finally stop and cancel all other programs running OR please tell me what to do with all these products and programs to finally make them work for me and bring me some kind of return?

Melvin you are one of the internet GURUS I respect online, so I’ll respect whatever you decide on what kind of response you’ll give me.

    Yours in success,

    David Geldenhuys.

Keen to get in touch with you in Puchong. I know you know Steven Wong, my partner but you and me have not got together before. Want to?

Just send me an email attached above and we can exchange Mobile numbers.

  10. Melvin Ng commented on September 29, 2007 at 2:10 pm

    Hi David

Now that you’ve gotten the 20/20 package, STOP all subscriptions to ALL newsletters, except mine! (Just kidding)

    You need to FOCUS!

Yes, just concentrate on the 20/20 for a full 90days before you even buy anything else. If you can’t control it, cut up your credit card. That should stop you from buying.

Follow the program closely and chances are you’ll start seeing money very soon!

    Good luck!

    Dear Melvin
Hi, i am from Malaysia as well, malacca to be exact. Just started to learn about Internet Marketing about a month and a half ago. Don’t know much, currently overloaded with information even though i have read Stuart’s book.. but till now I seriously don’t know what i am reading, I’ve followed the first steps which is reading and learning but i find myself as though i am not learning much although i am in forums and reading, yet after reading i feel as though i am not gaining anything. Any advice?

  13. Melvin Ng commented on December 15, 2007 at 5:10 pm

    Hi Aaron

At the moment, you would need something more structured, rather than piecemeal.

Personally I would advise you to have a look at Michael Green’s 20/20 (http://www.askmelvinng.com/2007/10/08/michael-greens-2020-challenge/)

Focus on it and don’t get distracted by anything else.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Melvin,
Years ago I lived in Kuala Lumpur and used to drive through a small village named Puchong. You must know Dr.Daniel Quek, who comes from there.
Big place now he tells me.

I’m now living in Pulau Batam, struggling to supplement my pension on the Internet with not too much success so I’ll be following you closely.

    Best regards,
    Peter

  15. Melvin Ng commented on December 22, 2007 at 12:53 pm

    Hi Peter

Thanks for dropping by. Yes I do know Dr Daniel Quek. I met him through my Indonesian marketer friends and we went out for dinner a few weeks back.

We’re both staying in Puchong, and it’s a bustling center now with so many new housing being launched. Getting pretty congested too..haha.

Look out for one of my next product which will help you in your online business in terms of identifying your niche.

    Cheers for now.

    Hi Melvin

    I need your help.

Currently we are in the planning stage to start up a new property portal in Malaysia and we urgently need a good copywriter to write some direct mail response marketing campaigns, so do you know any good copywriter?

    Vincent

  19. Melvin Ng commented on January 7, 2008 at 5:30 am

    Hi Vincent

There are a couple of Malaysian copywriters that I know but most of them do not take on copywriting jobs anymore.

You might want to check out Khai at http://www.aboutkhai.com

Alternatively, there are overseas copywriters as well.

    Thanks.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon your site here. Been a very long time since we communicated.

I read your profile and had to laugh out loud…the part where you say you ‘call a spade a spade…’ etc . That entire paragraph describes me to a ‘T’. Now I know why I liked you instantly when we ‘met’ online years ago.

Glad to know of your success. Keep up the good work.

  22. Melvin Ng commented on February 26, 2008 at 2:40 am

    Hey Sandi

    I STILL remember you :-)

It has really been a while since I last saw you somewhere near the WF….I guess that’s the result of ‘calling a spade, a spade’

    Life goes on…

How are things with you? Do keep in touch.

    Cheers,

    Hi Melvin,

I really like your blog and I can’t wait to read more from you. But you really need to add an rss button to make it easier for people to subscribe. :)

    Hi Amanda

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ll definitely be looking into adding the RSS thingy soon.
